the Memorial Alley in honor of the Cosmonauts

This Alley is the Memorial Alley in honor of the Cosmonauts who were the pioneers and opened for the civilization the space. The alley begins on the crossroad between the Prospect of Peace and the Ostankino passage. At the entrance into the alley you can see two big bronze spheres. The first sphere is the Earth and the second is celestial sphere with signs of the zodiac.
Along the alley there are granite stars. On these stars there are all significant events on the way of space exploration and with names of all cosmonauts who were in the space. On the center of the alley there is bronze model of the solar system. Next to the model of the solar system there is a monument to Sergei Pavlovich Korolev father of the practical astronautics world.
Also in the alley there are busts of cosmonauts and founders of the rocket production. At the end of the alley there is Memorial of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky Russian scientist and pioneer of the astronautic theory. Behind of the Memorial to Tsiolkovsky there is the main monument of the alley. It is the Monument to the Conquerors of Space where is the Memorial Museum of Astronautics.
Creation history
In honor of launching the first artificial Earth satellite in 1967 was established the Memorial Alley in honor of the Cosmonauts. In 2007-2008 the alley was reconstructed.
How to find
Go to metro station VDNH and exit to the crossroad between the Prospect of Peace and the Ostankino passage where the entry to the Alley is.
