All-Russia Exhibition Centre

All-Russia Exhibition Centre is the biggest in Moscow. It is placed on the north-east part of Moscow. There are 71 Exhibition pavilions and 3 fountains. Every day there take place different exhibitions. If you want more fun then in there you can find many attractions. Main attraction is the huge Ferris Wheel.
In the Soviet Union times here were collected achievements of the progress of Soviet Union. The main exhibit is a space rocket. On this rocket flew to the space the first human Yuriy Gagarin. Next to the rocket Vostok 1 there is a mid-range passenger jet Yakovlev Yak-42. Until 2008 there was second passenger jet Tupolev Tu-154. If you like movies then on the Exhibition Centre you can find interesting panoramic cinema.
We are sure that you will enjoy the walks around the Exhibition Centre. If you’ll walk through all Exhibition Center there is a big Park “Botanical garden” where you also can walk. Next to the All-Russia Exhibition Centre there is monument what is named Worker and Kolkhoz Woman where in the pedestal there is a museum of the sculptor Vera Mukhina who created this monument. Also next to Exhibition Centre there is a huge monument to the Conquerors of Space where in the pedestal is a Memorial Museum of Astronautics.
Creation history
The All-Russia Exhibition Centre was opened in 1936. After the war Exhibition Centre closed and long time didn’t work and started go to ruin. But in 1954 the Exhibition Centre opened again and in 1959 Changed its name to the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of the USSR. After the collapse of the Soviet Union the Exhibition Centre changed its name again what you already know it. In 2014 the exhibition center was back its previous name VDNH.
How to find
Go to metro station VDNH and exit forward 1st Cross Travel Street. Turn left and go ahead to the Longitudinal Travel Street where is the entry to the All-Russia Exhibition Centre.
