Memorial cross - Balashov

Description
The memorial cross in honor of the Holy Trinity Church it is a simple wooden Orthodox cross almost four meters in height. There is a stone with memorial inscription on it in front of the cross. “On this place was built the Holy Trinity Church. It was considerate in 1895. It was destroyed in 1936”. Some citizens say that this stone was in the foundation of the church.
Creation history
In 2003 in the Kuybyshev Park in Balashov where was the Holy Trinity Church not far from the monument of Glory was established the memorial cross in honor of the Holy Trinity Church which was destroyed in 1936.
How to find
From the railway station Balashov-1 by the bus ¹ 8 go till the bus stop Volodarsky Street and exit to the Kuybyshev Park. In the park go the center where at the monument of Glory turn left and after fifty meters on the right side of you, you will find the memorial cross in honor of the Holy Trinity Church. Or, also from the railway station Balashov-1 by bus ¹ 3 go till the bus stop next to the Movie Theater “Victory”. Go to the park along the main toward the monument of Glory where in fifty meter to the monument of Glory from the left side you will see this memorial cross.
