Description

Monument “The tragedy of the peoples”The monument “The tragedy of the peoples” it is a sculptural composition which shows us a huge queue of the people. All of them, adult and children are without clothes, bald, tired and worn out by the torture in the Nazi Germany concentration camps. They like a lamb are waiting their turn and just woman is covering the child eyes to hide the child from this terrible terror. The man by his the hand is trying to protect the child.

Creation history

The monument was established in 1997 next to the entrance to the Park Pobedu (Victory Park). But later the monument was moved and now the monument is located behind the museum of the Great Patriotic War.

Go to metro station Park Pobedu (Victory Park) and exit to Kutuzovsky Prospekt next to the entrance to the Victory park. In the Park go toward the museum of the Great Patriotic War. After the museum from the right side you will see the monument “The tragedy of the peoples”.
