Monument to student signs

Description
The monument to student signs it is a big round ground from the granite with big coin of 5 kopecks (student’s symbol of the luck during the exams) in the center. Around the coin on the ground there are the abbreviations of the institutes and universities. Also on the ground there are the student’s record-book and pair of shoes with the 5 kopecks inside.
Creation history
The monument was established in the park 850th anniversary of Moscow. In the competition for the best project of the monument took part about 500 students-architects. The monument had to contain all symbols of the student’s luck in what students believe during examination session. Also, the monument had to be original and technological simple.
Traditions
Everybody knows that the students are very superstitious and belief in signs. One of these sign is that on the eve of the exams the student should go to the metro station Ploshchad Revolyutsii (Revolution Square) and touch the nose of the sculpture of the dog and on you will be lucky during the exam. But till 2008 there wasn’t any monument to the student where you could come and make a wish. But now in the district Maryino is such a monument and it continues this tradition. You simply should stand on coin in the center and make a wish after that touch the shoes and then you will easily pass all exams.
How to find
Go to metro station Maryino and exit forward Lublinskaya street. From the left side, you can see the church. On this street go to the park 850th anniversary of Moscow on the embankment Moscow River. In the park turn left and go along the river till the monument (In front of the building 15 on Porechnaya street).
