Description

Monument to Bulat OkudzhavaA monument to Bulat Okudzhava on the Arbat street is unusual and it is unusual in that its authors has created it like a part of the Arbat street with two arcs, a table and a bench. Bulat is going through the arc. His figure casts a shadow on the sett. All elements of the monument including the shadow were made from the bronze. There are citation of his poems on the arcs.

Creation history

An idea of the monument to poet was born after the death of Bulat in 1997. A little late was organized a competition on the best monument to Bulat Okudzhava. In 2002 on the Arbat street was established the monument to the famous poet Bulat Okudzhava.

How to find

Go to metro station Smolenskaya (Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line) and when you will exit turn right on the lane. On this lane go till the Arbat street and turn left. Go ahead on the Arbat street till the crossroad with Plotnikov lane. Here next to the building Arbat street 47/23 you will find the monument to Bulat Okudzhava.
