Monument to the pilots of the long-range aviation

Description
A monument to the pilots of the long-range aviation it is a sculptural composition which consists of three sculptures of the pilots from different ages. From the right side of you there is sculpture of the pilot of the first in the world the squadron of the airships “Ilya Muromets”. From the left side of you there is a sculpture of the pilot of the long-range aviation in the Second World War. In the center there is a sculpture of the pilot-captain of the heavy strategic bomber Tu-160. Behind the pilots there is the Earth with images of the airplanes of the long-range aviation of these ages. On the top of the Earth there is a Russian Air Force emblem: “An eagle with two heads. In the clutches he is holding a propeller and cannon”. There are many memorial inscriptions on the monument which are written by the gold letters.
Creation history
The monument was established in 2014 in the Garden Square of the Devichye Pole (Maidens Field) in the year of 100th anniversary of the long-range aviation and in honor of the heroic generations of the aviators who protected the motherland from the invasion of the enemies. About it tells us the memorial inscription on the pedestal.
How to find
Go to metro station Frunzenskaya and exit to the lane Kholzunova and turn left. On the lane Kholzunova go till the Street Big Pirogovskaya and there you should and turn right. On the Street Big Pirogovskaya go around 200 meters till the crossroad with Olsufevsky lane. Turn left and cross the Street Big Pirogovskaya and you are next to the entrance to the Garden Square of the Devichye Pole (Maidens Field). Go to the square and along the alley go around 70 meters till the football field. Here from the right side you will find the monument to the pilots of the long-range aviation.
