Monument to Nikolai Starostin

Description
The monument to a prominent football-player and founder of the football club “Spartak” Nikolai Petrovich Starostin it is a full-size bronze sculpture of the sportsman. Nikolai Petrovich is sitting on the bench in a dressing room after hard match. There is towel on his shoulders and next to him there is a Football boot on the bench.
There is a t-shirt with an emblem of the football club “Spartak” on the floor. Under his right leg there is a ball. He raised his head up and is thinking, probably about new football club. In front of the monument there is a stone with a memorial inscription: “Nikolai Petrovich Starostin”.
Creation history
The monument was made by the sculptor Alexander Rukavishnikov in 1996 and established on the alley of the sports glory in Luzhniki.
How to find
Go to metro station Sportivnaya (Sports station) and exit to the Street Hamovnichesky Val. Cross the Street Hamovnichesky Val toward the Olympic complex Luzhniki. At the entrance turn right on the Novoluzhneckiy proezd (NewLuzhniki street) and go till the crossroad with Luzhneckiy proezd (Luzhniki street). Here go to the sport complex Luzhniki on the alley of the sports glory. Along the alley go till the embankment of Moscow River where on right side from you you will find the monument to Nikolai Starostin.
