Description
The monument to howitzer M-30 it is a 122 mm howitzer M1938 (M-30) on the massive granite pedestal.
There is a memorial inscription of the front side of the pedestal: Lets remember the names of all, by our the grief will remember them… It doesn`t need to dead! It needs to alive!
Creation history
The monument was established in honor of the heroes, defenders of our motherland who were killed during the battles against Nazi aggressors.
How to find
Go to metro station Tekstilshchiki and exit forward to the Muscovite Cultural Center. Go between the building Volgograd Prospect bld. 46/15 and football stadium toward the Sadki pond. After the pond you will be on the crossroad between 11th street of Tekstilshchiki and Artyukhina street. On the Artyukhina street go till the crossroad with street Young Lenintsev. While you are going to the crossroad, on the Artyukina street next to the building . 6/1 you can see the monument to Shurik and Lida. When you will reach the crossroad between Artyukhina street and street Young Lenintsev there in the square you will find the monument to howitzer M-30.
