Monument to Shurik and Lida

Description
More and more the monuments to the heroes from the books and movies appear on the streets of the cities. So, the monument in honor of the heroes of the famous Soviet Union`s comedy “Operation Y and Shurik`s Other Adventures” was established next to the Moscow economical university.
The monument to Shurik and Lida it is two metal sculptures of the students. Shurik and Lida are reading the book while they are walking. Lida is holding the book and Shurik is going from the left side and also careful is reading the book. Shurik is holding other book in his left hand. In the back pocket of Shurik’s jeans you can see a transcript.
Creation history
According to the movie Shurik and Kida had educated in the Polytechnic University, but in 2011 the monument was established next to the Moscow economical university next to the metro station Tekstilshchiki.
How to find
Go to metro station Tekstilshchiki and and exit forward to the Muscovite Cultural Center. Go between the building Volgograd Prospect bld. 46/15 and football stadium toward the Sadki pond. After the pond you will be on the crossroad between 11th street of Tekstilshchiki and Artyukhina street. On the Artyukhina street go till the Moscow economical university bld. 6/1. Here Shurik and Lida will meet you.
