Monument to Nil Filatov

Description
Bronze sculptural composition shows us the famous Russian podiatrist Nil Fedorovich Filatov in the moment of the examination of ill child. He is dressed in medical overall and by the left hand he is holding a stethoscope. He is standing next to the table where is sitting ill child and is nestling up to the doctor and trying to find a protection and help.
The monument was placed on the black, granite pedestal with wide foundation. There is a memorial inscription on the pedestal: “To the friend of the children Nil Fedorovich Filatov. 1847 - 1902”.
Creation history
The monument to Nil Fedorovich Filatov was established in 1960 next to the entrance to the Garden Square of the Devichye Pole (Maidens Field) not far from the child health clinic named Sechenov and the Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology named Snegirev.
How to find
Go to metro station Frunzenskaya and exit to the lane Kholzunova and turn left. On the lane Kholzunova go till the Street Big Pirogovskaya and there you should again turn left. On the Street Big Pirogovskaya go around 150 meters till the crossroad with the Street Elanskiy. Turn right and cross the Street Big Pirogovskaya and you are next to the entrance to the Garden Square of the Devichye Pole (Maidens Field). Here you will find the monument to Nil Filatov.
