There is a friary of the Ascension of David desert next to village Novuiy But (new way of life) in the Moscow countryside. It is very interesting and beautiful place. The friary is functioning and is in good condition. The friary was founded on the bank of the Lopasni river, what is a tributary of Oka river. There is a small pond but beautiful on the territory of the friary.
The first interesting thing what you will see it is a big and bright bell tower at the entrance to the friary. There is a beautiful main temple in the center on the friary. The auxiliary buildings also look beautiful. Each building has its own bright color what is a distinctive feature.

Creation history
According to record in the monastery synod in 1602 the friary was founded in 1515 by the Reverend David. After 100 year the friary fell into decline but later the situation had changed for the better. Unfortunately in 1929 the friary was closed for a long time. Just in 1992 when was founded the Orthodox community, the friary began new life and now flourishing.
How to find
From the bus station in Chekhov town by bus ¹ 36 go to the village Novuiy But (new way of life). Time in the way is around 30 minutes. The bus stop is next to friary of the Ascension of David desert. Have a nice trip.
