State Darwin Museum in Moscow is biggest the natural sciences museum in Europe. In two buildings of museum there is a big collection of evolution on Earth. Also there are many exhibits of animals what lives on Earth now.
In the museum you can read about the life of Charles Darwin and creation history of museum. Also there is a piece of wild life where you can see interesting insects.
There is an interactive exposition of evolution. Here detailed and colorfully is described about evolution from the beginning the life on the Earth till now. On the trail of evolution you can find learning computers. On these computers you can check your knowledge about evolution.
Creation history
State Darwin Museum was founded in 1907 by Alexander Fedorovich Kots. The museum was the first museum with expositions about evolution on Earth. In 1995 was opened second building what was builded twenty years.
How to find
Go to metro station Akademicheskaya (Academic) and exit to Dmitry Ulianov Street. On the crossroad with prospect of the 60th anniversary of October turn left. Go toward crossroad with Vavilov Street. Here on the crossroad is State Darwin Museum. Address is Vavilov Street b.57.
