Description
A memorial stele in honor of the greatest Russian General it is not simple stele, it is a Memorial in honor of Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov. The memorial contains: a chapel of St. John the Warrior, stele and the monument bust in honor of Alexander Suvorov.
The stele is decorated with pictures of the battle scene. In the center of the stele there is, in a beautiful frame, a memorial inscription. Above the inscription there is a Suvorov-Rimnikskie family Coat of Arms.
In front of the stele there is a monument bust of Alexander Suvorov. From the left and right sides of the stele there are two decorative steles and two vases with flowers.
Creation history
An initiators of the project were Moscow government and Moscow house of the war veterans. In 2006 in the Catherine`s Park was established memorial in honor of the greatest Russian General Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov.
How to find
Go to metro station Dostoevskaya and exit to the Theater of Soviet Army. Go across the Suvorov Square and go inside the Catherine`s Park. Go to the north pond next to the north entrance of the park. Here next to the Social Rehabilitation Center you will find the memorial in honor of the greatest Russian General Alexander Suvorov (Suvorov square bld. 2/20).
