Like Prometheus who gave the fire to people was imprinted young, half-naked and strong titan. Like a torch he launches a rocket to the sky what is going to the eternal blue of the sky to meet the new discoveries and adventures.
The sculpture of Prometheus of 20th century is on the granite pedestal. In front of the sculpture there is a stone vase for flowers.
Greation history
The sculpture was created at the beginning of the cosmonautics. It was established in 1958 three month before the launching the first satellite of the Earth. It’s became the symbol of this launching.
How to find
Go to metro station Dostoevskaya and exit to the Theater of Soviet Army. Go across the Suvorov Square and go inside to the Catherine`s Park. Go to the north entry of the park, there you will find the sculpture – To the Stars.
