The monument - Raising the flag

Description
It is simple monument in honor of the bravery and the heroism of the defenders our motherland. A soldier is picking out the military flag from the weak hands of a wounded comrade. It was made from the wrought copper and is placed on the small pedestal. There is a memorial plate where is written the name of the sculptor, name of the monument “Raising the flag” and memorial inscription “The sculpture is a hymn to feat of arms, to courage and firmness of the heroes and defenders of motherland.” on the pedestal.
Creation history
The monument was established in 1970 next to a cinema Brest in Moscow. It’s very interesting because name of this cinema as name Brest Fortress what was attacked by Nazi Germany soldiers in 1941.
How to find
Go to metro station Molodyozhnaya (Youth) and exit forward Yartsevskaya street. On this street go 2-3 minutes till the cinema Brest Yartsevskaya street bld. 21/1. Here in front of the cinema you will see this monument.
