Monument to Ilya Repin

Description
A monument to famous Russian artist it is a sculpture of the artist in full-length. He is standing in front of the easel and he is holding in the hand a palette. The sculpture is placed on the big granite pedestal. On the pedestal, there is a bronze cartouche with a memorial inscription: “To the great Russian artist Ilya Yefimovich Repin from the government of the Soviet Union”.
Creation history
The monument was established when the square Bolotnaya had name the square of Repin. Later to the square was back historical name.
How to find
The monument is placed in the square Bolotnaya. Go to metro station Tretyakovskaya and exit to Klimentovskiy line. On the street turn left and one minute go toward the Big Ordunka street. Cross the street and go ahead on the Ordunka deadlock three minutes till the square next to the crossroad between Big Tolmachevsky lane and Lavrushinsky lane where turn right on Lavrushinsky lane. Along the lane go till Kadashevskaya Embankment. Cross the bridge of Luzhkov. This bridge also known as the bridge of lovers. After the bridge, you will find the monument to Ilya Repin.
