Monument to Guardsmen Panfilov defenders of Moscow

Description
The monument in honor of the heroes of the division under the leadership of Major-General Ivan Vasilyevich Panfilov performed as the Kremlin Wall. On the central part there is a main award of The Soviet Union the order of the Red Star. Under the order there is a memorial inscription “Glory to the heroes of Panfilov”.
On the left side there is a bas-relief of soldier, who calls upon everyone to protect the Homeland and Moscow against German aggressor. Next to the bas-relief there is a memorial plaque with names of solders of the 316 division who stopped the aggressor. On the right side of the monument there is a route this division from Moscow to Tallinn. In front of the monument there is a gun during the Second World War.
Creation history
The monument established in the late 60s next to building 12/1 on the Panfilov heroes Street in honor of the valorous heroes who protected the Capital and gave their lives didn’t give to German aggressor destroy the our lives.
How to find
Go to metro station Planernaya (Glider) and exit to Planernaya Street building 5. Go forward on this Street to crossroad with Panfilov heroes Street and turn right. After 150 meters next to building 12/1 there is a Monument to Guardsmen Panfilov defenders of Moscow.
