The monument to Georgy Zhukov

Description
The greatest man of 20th century Georgy Zhukov was memorized by sitting on the back of the war-horse. He is trampling down the cancer of Europe, symbol of Nazi Germany. He is greeting the soldiers who protected our home. The monument was placed on the big rectangular pedestal. There is a picture of Saint George who attacks the dragon on the pedestal. Under the picture there is a memorial inscription “To Georgy Zhukov”.
Creation history
The monument was established in 1995 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the great victory in the Second World War. The monument was established next to the State Historical Museum project by sculptor V. Klykov and architect U. Grigoriev.
How to find
Go to metro station Okhotny Ryad and exit to Manezhnaya Square next to the entry to the Red square. Here you will see this great monument.
