Monument to Sergey Bukhvostov - a First Russian soldiers

Description
The monument to Sergey Bukhvostov is monument to “First Russian soldiers” times Peter the Great. The sculpture of Sergey Bukhvostov created in full height, he is dressed in military uniform of the soldiers of the Preobrazhensky Regiment. In his left hand he holds the flag of the regiment.
The monument made from the bronze and placed on the high rectangular pedestal. On the pedestal there is a bas-relief of roll with a memorial inscription; “To the first Russian soldiers Lifeguards of the Preobrazhensky Regiment Sergey Bukhvostov”.
Creation history
In 1683 Sergey Bukhvostov was the first who came in to new army of Peter the Great. He was brave soldier and served very good. In 2005 on the square Preobrazhenskaya was established the monument to Sergey Bukhvostov, project by Vyacheslav Klykov.

Go to metro station Square Preobrazhenskaya and exit forward Preobrazhensky bank Street. Here next to the metro station there is a Square Preobrazhenskaya where you will find this interesting monument.
