Description

Monument to Kuzma MininThe bronze sculpture of citizen and hero of Russia Kuzma Minin who is calling people to protect the Russia against Polish aggressor. The monument is placed on the granite rectangular pedestal. On the pedestal there is a memorial inscription; “To the Great patriot of Russia Kuzma Minin”. Kuzma Minin is standing and is lifting his hand and calling people go to Moscow and toss out polish aggressor.

Creation history

An idea was formed in the beginning of the 20th century and in 1912 was the ceremonial laying of the monument. However started the First World War and the project was closed. In 1943 in Nizhny Novgorod on the square of Minin and Pozharsky was established the monument to Minin project by Kolobov A. In 1985 the monument was send for reconstruction. In 1989 on the square of Minin and Pozharsky was established new monument by sculptor Komov O. The old monument was moved to the town Balakhna where was born Kuzma Minin.

On the bus (routes 1,3,38,61) or on the trolley bus (routes 9,13,17) go to bus stop square of Minin and Pozharsky. Here in the square you will see the monument to Kuzma Minin.
