The monument to Russian scientist and inventor of the television Zworykin Vladimir Kosmich it is a sculptural composition which consist of the bronze sculpture of the scientist and the first television set from the granite.
The monument is interactive. You can stand next to the Vladimir Kosmich in the same pose and take a photo. Or you can set behind the TV and you are on-air with your good news.
Creation history
The monument was established on 29 July 2013 on the embankment of the Ostankino pond not far from the Ostankino Technical Center in year of 125th anniversary of the scientist`s birthday.
How to find
Go to metro station VDNH. Exit to VDNH (All-Russian Exhibition Center) and go to the entrance to the Center. There go to the monorail line station and go to station Telecenter (Television center). From the station go back to the Ostankino pond and there go around it toward the entrance of the Ostankino park at the Trinity church. There on the embankment you will find the monument to Zworykin.
