Monument to Tretyakov

Description
The famous Russian businessman, philanthropist and founder of Tretyakov Gallery Pavel Mikhaylovich Tretyakov is pictured in the moment of deep thinking. He laid her hands on the chest. The monument was made from the granite and was cut from big granite stone and was not finished and legs are still hidden inside the stone. Around the monument there is a beautiful flowerbed.
Creation history
The sculptor Kabilnikov Alexander Pavlovich and the architect Rogin Igor Evgenivich had made the monument in 1962 but long time was stored inside the Tretyakov Gallery. And just in 1980 the monument was established in front of the entrance to the Gallery where before were monument to Lenin and after that the monument to Stalin.
How to find
Go to metro station Tretyakovskaya and exit to Klimentovskiy line. On the street turn left and one minute go toward the Big Ordunka street. Cross the street and go ahead on the Ordunka deadlock go three minutes till the square next to the crossroad between Big Tolmachevsky lane and Lavrushinsky lane where turn right on Lavrushinsky lane. Along the lane go three minutes till the Tretyakov Gallery (Lavrushinsky lane bld. 10) where at the entrance you will meet Pavel Mikhaylovich Tretyakov.
