Monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War

Description
In the time when a global history actively is rewritten we must keep real memory about the heroes who saved our motherland from Nazi aggressor. So since 2006 in the Catherine`s square was established the monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic war (1941-1945).
The monument it is a sculptural composition consist four sculptures. A soldier is returning to the home and in front of him are running three children, two girls and a boy. There is a granite pedestal under the sculptural composition with a memorial inscription, “To the soldiers who defended the world and gave a freedom from Nazi aggressor”.
From the left and right side of the monument there is a two granite stones with date of the Great Patriotic war (1941-1945).
Creation history
In 2006 on an initiative of organization veterans of labor the monument project by the sculptor I. Kozlov and the architects I. Bulinkin, M. Korsy was established in the Catherine`s square.
How to find
Go to metro station Dostoevskaya and exit to the Theater of Soviet Army. Go to the park on the Suvorov square pass the monument to Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov. Go through the Suvorov square. After the square you go to Catherine`s square where in the center you will see the monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
