Monument to Sergei Rachmaninoff

Description
The monument to the famous Russian composer, pianist, and conductor Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff quite big almost 4 meters in high. A bronze Sergei Rachmaninoff is sitting on the chair.
He is sitting, leaning back in the chair but in his pose you can feel an effort. On his face you can see soft and friendly smile. He is looking into the distance.
The monument was placed on a big pedestal from red granite. There is a memorial inscription “To Rachmaninoff” on the pedestal.
Creation history
The monument was established in 1999 on the Strastnoy Boulevard next to the house where the composer had lived.
How to find
Go to metro station Chehovskaya and exit to Strastnoy Boulevard. On the boulevard go till the building 12C1. Here you will see the monument to the famous Russian composer, pianist, and conductor Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff.
