The monument to St. Nicholas Mozhaysky

Description
The monument to a heavenly patron of Mozhaysk town St. Nicholas Mozhaysky was created as copy of an image of the Saint Nicholas on the icon. Now figure of the Saint Nicholas from the icon is in the Tretyakov Gallery.
The Saint Nicholas is standing and in his right hand is holding a sword. On the left hand he is holding the Mozhaysk town like a symbol of his patronize and protection of the citizens. The sculpture is placed on a cylindrical granite pedestal. The monument is placed in the small chapel.
Creation history
The monument to Saint Nicholas Mozhaisky was established in 1998 on the Moscow street a project by the sculptor V. Klykov.
How to find
By bus go to bus stop St. Nicholas Cathedral and on the street Moscow few minutes go the the crossroad with Peryaslav – Khmelnitsky street. Here on the square next to the building №13 you will find this interesting monument.
