Monument to Lenin in Monino

Description
The monument to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin it is a gypsum sculpture of the leader in full height. The sculpture was placed on the gray pedestal from the concrete. Vladimir Ilyich is dressed in his tradition three-piece suit. By the left hand he is holding a collar of the suit and the right hand he is holding in the trouser pocket. In front of the monument there is a stele with the picture of the pilots and the jets which is flying in the sky. There is a memorial inscription on the stele: “Serve to Fatherland!”, but now inscription is covered by the poster with historical note about the Air Force Academy of U.A. Gagarin.
Creation history
The monument was established in 1974 in the urban-type settlement Monino in the square on the street Baranova.
How to find
From the railway station Monino go along the street Moskovskaya (Moscow street) till the crossroad with the street Krasovsky. Turn left and go along the Krasovsky street till the crossroad with Baranov street. Turn left on Baranov street and go to the center of the Lenin square where you will find the monument to the Lenin.
