Description
The monument to Nadezhda Konstantinovna Krupskaya the Russian Bolshevik revolutionary and wife of Vladimir Lenin it is a sculptural composition which consist of the sculpture of Nadezhda Konstantionva and two big steles. The sculptural composition was placed on the big granite plate. A figure of Nadezhda Konstantionva doesn`t have a portrait similarity with her real appearance and shows us young girl who has wrapped oneself up in shawl. She went out through the big doors on the frost. Two big steles behind the girl is a symbol of the opened doors. There are citations of statements of Krupskaya and dates of her life on the steles.
Creation history
The monument was established in 1976 on the square of Sretenskii gate at the beginning of the Sretensky Boulevard.
How to find
Go to metro station Turgenevskaya and exit to the Sretensky Boulevard. Along the Boulevard go to the opposite end of the Boulevard it is only 214 meters because the Sretensky Boulevard is shortest Boulevard of the Boulevard Ring. Here on the square in front of the crossroad between the Bolshaya Lubyanka Street and the Boulevard Ring you will find the monument to Nadezhda Krupskaya. (Bolshaya Lubyanka Street bld.30)
