Monument to Dmitry Donskoy

Description
A monument to the grand prince of Moscow Dmitry Donskoy it is a bronze sculpture which shows us like Dmitry Donskoy is sitting on the war horse with the banner of the Grand Duchy of Moscow. He is calling to unit with of all Russian lands to protect Russia and drive out the Mongol and Tatar.
The monument is located on the big granite pedestal. There is a bas-relief of the scroll with the memorial inscription on the pedestal – “Devoted to the Saint grand prince of Moscow Dmitry Donskoy the liberator of Russian lands”.
In front of the monument there is a foundation stone with the cross on the top. There is a memorial inscription on the stone, - “Here will be established the monument to the Saint grand prince of Moscow Dmitry Donskoy the liberator of Russian lands”.
Creation history
In 2003 in the place where Dmitry Donskoy united all Russians to protect Russia from Mongol and Tatar was established the foundation stone. The sculptor Vyacheslav Klykov started to create the monument. Unfortunately in 2006 he dead and just in 2013 in the square next to the crossroad between the streets Yauzskaya and Nikoloyamskaya was established the monument to the prince of Moscow Dmitry Donskoy.
How to find
Go to the metro station Taganskaya (Koltsevaya Line) and exit to Verkhnyaya Radishchev street. On this street go on north till the Yauzskaya street. On the Yauzskaya street go till the Yauza River where in the square next to the crossroad between the streets Yauzskaya and Nikoloyamskaya you will find the monument to the prince of Moscow Dmitry Donskoy (Nikoloyamskaya street bld. 4).
