Description
The monument to countrymen who were killed during the freeing of the village Kolubakino it is a memorial complex with the military cemetery of soldiers who were killed during the fights against the Nazi aggressors this village in 1941. The main element of the complex is a wide stele with memorial plates with the names of the soldiers who fought for the freedom of the village Kolubakino.
From the left side of the stele there is a monument of the soldier and woman who are sorrowing for killed defenders. There is a memorial plate on the pedestal, “An imperishable memory of heroes who were killed during the fights against the Nazi aggressors for the freedom of the village Kolubakino. 12 December 1941”. In front of the monument there is an eternal flame. From the right side of the stele there are two headstones of the graves of the Soviet Union hero a pilot Sergey Bogachev, Alexander Kurlyanskiy and Kurt Remling.
Creation history
On the military cemetery of the defender of the motherland in 50th was established the monument of the soldier and woman who are sorrowing for killed defenders with the eternal flame in front of it.
How to find
From the Belorussky railway station by the Electric multiple unit train go till the railway station Tuchkovo. From the railway station take a bus 21 and go to the village Kolubakino and exit of the bus stop “School”. After that go ahead along the Street Krasnaya gorka (Red Hill) till the crossroad with the Street Popova. Here on the left side of the Street Red Hill at the crossroad you will find the monument to countrymen who were killed during the freeing of the village Kolubakino.
