Monument to Anton Chekhov

Description
The monument to the famous Russian writer Anton Pavlovich Chekhov shows us a tall and thin figure of the writer in the three-piece suit. A sculpture was placed on the low pedestal from red granite with wide bottom. There is a memorial inscription on the pedestal: “In honor of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov”.
Creation history
The monument was established on Kamergersky lane in front of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre in 1998, a year of 100th anniversary of the theatre.
How to find
Go to metro station Okhotny Ryad and exit to Tverskaya Street. On the Tverskaya Street go toward the north around 350 meters till the Kamergersky lane. Here you should turn right on this lane and go around 80 meters to the building 4b1. Here in front of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre you will find the monument to Anton Chekhov.
