Description
The monument of the Revolution in 1905 it is a big sculptural composition. It’s contains 8 sculptures. There is a standard-bearer with two guards from left and right side of him in the center of the monument. There is a woman stands and holds hands above her head on the right side of the monument. Next to her sits the man who was wounded in the fight. On the left side of the monument there is another man and woman they are fighting against gendarme on a horse.
The monument is located on the big flat pedestal. There is a memorial inscription “In honor of the revolution in 1905 - 1907”.
Creation history
The monument was established in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Moscow armed uprising in December in 1905. The place was chosen because here were most fierce fights.
How to find
Go to metro station Ulitsa 1905 Goda (1905 Street) and exit backward Krasnopresnenskaya Zastava Square. Here next to metro station you will find this interesting monument.
