Monument - In commemoration of the victims of the tragedy in Beslan

Description
The monument in commemoration of the victims of the tragedy in Beslan in 2004 it is a sculptural composition, contains of three parts. The main part of the monument it is the figures of the angels who are taking the souls of the innocence the deceased children.
The second part of the monument it is a pedestal. It is looks like a floor in the school, where were lost the children’s toys. There is a memorial inscription on the pedestal, “In commemoration of the victims of the tragedy in Beslan. North Ossetia–Alania. Beslan. 1-3 september 2004: 1127 of hostages, 334 of the dead including 186 children. Author Zurab Tsereteli”.
The third part of the monument it is a granite ground under the monument.
Creation history
The monument was established on 1 June 2010 on the crossroad between the Solyanka street and Podkolokolny lane. On the opening ceremony were many high officials, author of the monument Zurab Tsereteli and the president of the North Ossetia–Alania Taymuraz Mamsurov.
Traditions
Every year many people bring to the monument the flowers in a sign of mourning for dead children in terrible tragedy.
How to find
Go to the metro station Kitay-gorod of the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line and exit to Street Varvarka. On the crossroad between streets Lubyansky passage and Solyansky passage turn on Solyansky passage. On this street go till the crossroad with Solyanka street and turn on this street and go till the crossroad with Podkolokolny lane. Here next to the building Solyanka street bld. 5/2c4 you will see this monument.
