Line of resistance 194

Description
Line of resistance 194 it is a monument in honor of the soldiers of 5th Army of the Western Front who protected Moscow. The monument it is a real 76 mm divisional gun M1942 (ZiS-3) on the pedestal. Behind the gun under the tree there is a stele from the granite which looks like Kremlin wall.
There is a bronze bas-relief of the Soviet soldier with a grenade. He is bravely is meeting the German-Nazi aggressors. Next to the bas-relief there is a memorial inscription on the stele, “In honor of the soldiers of 5th Army of the Western Front who protected Moscow”. Under the inscription there is a memorial plate with a region map with position of the army during the fight with Nazi aggressors and historical note how the soldiers of the 144th rifle division of this army in November and December 1941 stopped the German army at the town Zvenigorod. From the right side of the plate there is written by the capital letters “Line of resistance 194”.
Creation history
The monument was established on the line of resistance 194 on the west side of the Zvenigorod in honor of the heroism of the Soviet people who had stopped on this line the offensive of the perfidious German-Nazi aggressors and had started the proscription it from our motherland.
How to find
In Moscow from the Belorussky railway station by the Electric multiple unit train go to town Zvenigorod. At the railway station in Zvenigorod take bus 23 or 51 and go around 16 minutes till the bus stop Lesnye polyany (a clearing in the wood) and here at the bus stop you will find the monument “Line of resistance 194”.
