Description
The fountain of the arts – inspiration it isn`t classical fountain with a bowl, instead of the bowl there is a thin square granite plate with the fountain in the center. All the water from fountain is drained to the under-fountain space through the drain grating around the fountain. There are three big granite stones around the fountain. And it looks like the fountain of the arts has broken through the granite stones of the incomprehension, the laziness and the vegetation and has given the life to the tree of arts.
There are three pictures on the stones around the fountain and the tree. The bronze pictures in the golden frames show us the pictures of the famous painters: Ilya Mashkov, Viktor Vasnetsov and Arkhip Kuindzhi. These pictures it is a “The victuals Moscow, breads”, “Tsar Ivan the Terrible” and “The Birchwood”. Around the fountain there are granite half-spheres. At night the fountain has beautiful illumination.
Creation history
The fountain was established in small square of Lavrushinsky lane in 2006 in year of 150th anniversary of the Tretyakov Gallery which is a hundred meters from the square.
How to find
Go to metro station Tretyakovskaya and exit to Klimentovskiy lane. On the street turn left and one minute go toward the Big Ordunka street. Cross the street and go ahead on the Ordunka deadlock around three minutes till the square next to the crossroad between Big Tolmachevsky lane and Lavrushinsky lane where you will find the fountain of arts - inspiration.
