Description
The fountain Adam and Eve shows us the scene when Eve is giving to Adam the apple from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil. There is a tempting snake near the legs of the first people and he is watching this scene. The bronze sculptural composition of course is a central part of the fountain and has interesting nuance. The sculptures of Adam and Eve have the navels but in reality the first people couldn`t have the navels.
The bronze sculptural composition consists from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil and Adam and Eve who are sitting under the tree on the tempting snake. The tree is one of the Fluid groups of the fountain. From the crown of the tree streams down the water. Around the sculptural composition there is the second fluid group.
The sculptural composition was placed on the square with the steps platform which is a third fluid group and is a waterfall cascade. On the corners of the platform there is fourth fluid group which Looks like apples from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil. From the top of these bronze apples are playing the small fountains. And the last fluid group it is big amount small fountains around the platform. At the evening the fountain has beautiful lighting.
Creation history
The fountain was established in 2008 by the sculptor Marina Levinskaya and the group of architects from the architectural studio of Simonikin. As Marina Levinskaya has told the sculptures of Adam and Eve she has modeled from her daughter and the daughter`s boyfriend.
How to find
Go to metro station Novokuznetskaya and exit to Pyatnitskaya street. On the street next to the metro station in the square you will find this beautiful fountain Adam and Eve.
