Description
A fountain-rotunda Natalia and Alexander it is a white and small rotunda with gold cupola in the center of round fountain. There are sculptures of Nataliya Goncharova and Alexander Pushkin inside the rotunda.
There is a memorial inscription on the front side of the fountain, “The fountain-rotunda Natalia and Alexander established on 6 June 1999 by the Moscow government in honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin. 1 March (18 February) 1831 Nataliya Goncharova and Alexander Pushkin married in the church of the Great Ascension in Moscow”.
Creation history
The fountain was established in 1999 on the Nikitsky Gates Square next to the church where in 1831 Nataliya Goncharova and Alexander Pushkin married.
How to find
Go to metro station Arbatskaya and exit to the Nikitsky Boulevard. Cross the Vozdvizhenka Street to the Nikitsky Boulevard. Go on the boulevard till the crossroad with Big Nikitskaya Street. Here on the Nikitsky Gates Square you will see the fountain-rotunda Natalia and Alexander Small (Nikitskaya street bld.2/1C1)
