Description
A granite bust to Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky the famous Russian scientist and pioneer of astronautic theory is placed on a high granite pedestal. There is a memorial inscription on the pedestal “Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky 1857-19335”.
Creation history
The bust monument to Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky was established in 1957, year the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian scientist and the first space romantic. The monument was placed from the left side of the Petrovsky traveling palace.
How to find
Go to metro station Dinamo and exit forward to Leningradsky Avenue. On the Leningradsky Avenue go to north till the Petrovsky traveling palace (Leningradsky Avenue bld. 40). Pass the monument to Zhukovsky and here on the Left palace alley you will find the bust monument to the Great Russian scientist.
