Monument to Baron Münchhause

Description
The sculpture shows us a baron in one scene from his story. He is pulling by his hair himself and his horse from the swamp. On the pedestal there is a metal plate with citation: “You assert that man can pull out himself from the swamp? – Absolutely! Intellectual man time to time simply must do that!”.
In front of the sculpture there is some kind of the Bulletin board. On the Bulletin board you can see wise statements from the famous movie “The Very Same Munchhausen”. Next to the Bulletin board there is a post box with inscription on it: “Ladies and Gentlemen, your vital principles and wise statements would appear on the Bulletin board”.
Creation history
The monument was established in 2004 next to the metro station Molodyozhnaya. On the ceremony were the main Baron Münchhause of the Soviet Union it is a actor Oleg Yankovsky who played the Baron in the famous movie “The Very Same Munchhausen” and the director of this movie.
Traditions
On the ceremony the author of the idea of the monument Marat Kushaev said, if you touch the nose of the sculpture then nobody will lead you on the nose. And if you touch the rapier then you will be brave and courageous. And finally if you will touch the ears of the horse then you will be pleased listener.
How to find
Go to the metro station Molodyozhnaya and exit forward to Yarcevskaya street and next to the metro at the entrance to the shopping center building 25A you will find the monument to the Baron Münchhause.
