The Monument to Abai Qunanbaiuli

Description
The monument to the famous Kazakh poet Abai Qunanbaiuli it is the bronze sculpture of the poet. He is sitting and is holding the notebook on his knee. The sculpture placed on the white stony, the conic pedestal.
Behind the monument there is a white wall. There are memorial inscriptions on the wall: “The gift to Moscow from Kazakhstan” and “The creator of the immortal word is eternal”. There is a national ornament and the inscription “Abai Qunanbaiuli the poet and the philosopher” on the pedestal. Next to the monument there are two Kurgan steles.
Creation history
During the official visit the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Moscow in 2005 on the meeting with Vladimir Putin was born an idea of the monument to Abai Qunanbaiuli. In 2006 the monument was established on the Chistoprudniy Boulevard next to the Kazakh embassy. The monument was created by the sculptors Marat Aynekov, Said Aynekov, the architects Valery Romanenko, Timur Suleimenov, also a constructor Sairan Fazylov and a designer Igor Polyakov.
How to find
Go to metro station Chistue prudy (Clean Ponds) and exit to the Chistoprudniy Boulevard. On this boulevard pass the monument to Aleksander Griboyedov and go toward a pond. Next to the pond you will see this monument.
