The monument to Alexander Herzen

Description
There is a small monument to Alexander Herzen in a yard of Maxim Gorky Literature Institute on the Tverskoy Boulevard. It’s hiding under the trees and between the bushes. The bright person of the end of XIX century stands and holds the pages of the revolutions newspaper “Kolos”(The ear).
Creation history
The monument was established in 1959 in the yard of Maxim Gorky Literature Institute. Also Alexander Herzen was born in this house. The surname of Alexander Herzen was thought by his father and it means son of the heart from German language.
How to find
Go to metro station Pushkinskaya and exit to Tverskoy Boulevard. Go forward on the Boulevard till the building of the Literature Institute (Tverskoy Boulevard bld. 25). Here in the yard you will find this small monument but in honor very famous and bright person.
