Moscow metro is almost eighty years old but already has very interesting and saturated history. And it`s history is represented in the Public museum of Moscow metro.
Here, in the museum you will find out about the development of the metro from the first days of working since 1935. Also will know that during all history of Moscow metro it just one time didn`t work 24 hours and there was dangerous that metro will be destroyed. And of course you can visit real cabin of the metro train.
In the museum there is a big collection of the different documents, things, tickets and devices beginning with the first clock and turnstile and till the modern computer control system.
Creation history
Upon the initiative of the pensioners of metro in 1967 was established the museum of Moscow metro. The museum was established in the south entrance hall of the metro station Sportivnaya.
How to find
It is very easy to find the museum. Just go to metro station Sportivnaya and go to the exit of the metro station to the Street Hamovnichesky Val. After the turnstiles from the right side you will find the entrance to the Public museum of Moscow metro.
