Nicholas Berlyukovskaya deserts

Nicholas Berlyukovskaya deserts it is a monastery in the village Avdotyino in the Noginsky District. It has long and complicated history of existence. After long oblivion after abolition in 1920 the monastery is recovered. In 2004 to a community of the monastery were returned bell tower, Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and monastery garden. Biggest part of the monastery still is owned to a psychiatric hospital of the department of health in Moscow.
Despite disrepair the monastery looks very beautiful and interesting. Now the bell tower, what is 88 meter in high, is recovered. Nicholas Berlyukovskaya deserts is placed on a bank of Vora River.
Creation history
Nicholas Berlyukovskaya deserts was founded in 1719 when a church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker became the main temple of new resident of Nicholas Berlyukovskaya deserts. In 1920 the monastery was abolition and a territory was given to the psychiatric hospital. Since 2002 the monastery is recovered.
How to find
From the bus station of Noginsk by bus №22 go till the village Avdotyino. Then go toward the monastery Voskresenskoe (Avdotyino) Nicholas Berlyukovskaya deserts. On the way to monastery from left you will see a monument in honor to heroes of Second World War.
