The Orlov Museum of Paleontology is one of the biggest Scientific Educational Center of Moscow. The museum contains six exposition halls where were collected the displays from the different parts of the world like the displays from the water world, land world and from the different times of our common house Earth.

So, here you can find out the history of the animals which lived in Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic. For all this big collection of the displays in 70th was build unique building what looks like a fortress with the watchtowers.

In the inner yard of the museum there is a big sculptural composition with ancient dinosaurs, mammoths and mammals. The museum will be interesting to the children because here they will open hidden and charm ancient world. The adults also can find for them something new and interesting.

Creation history

The museum was founded in the beginning of the XVIII century. During all his life the museum was growing. In the 70th with big support of the academician U.A. Orlov for the museum was built new unique and modern building.

How to find

Go to the metro station Tyoply Stan and exit backward to the Profsoyuznaya (Trade union) street. On this street go on the north one kilometer or take a bus 49 and go till bus stop Paleontological Museum and you next to the museum. Profsoyuznaya street bld. 123.
