In a village of the writers what was established in 1934 by Maxim Gorky in the house of the Bulat Okudzhava was organized the memorial museum in honor of famous Russian writer and musician Bulat Okudzhava. Honestly, there are two houses on the territory of the cottage station where lived Bulat Shalvovich. In the bigger house there is a memorial part of the museum in honor of the life and work of the writer. There is museum for the friends in another part of the museum in honor of the friends of his.

In the memorial part of museum you can see many different gifts which were given by friends. Among the gifts you can find more interesting gifts like a gold pen like a rose what was given by Vladimir Vysotsky, a script of very interesting movie Zhenya, Zhenechka i 'Katyusha'. Also you can find the model of the monument to Bulat Shalvovich what was established in the Arbat street in Moscow.

Creation history

The houses were given to writers and artists for all their lives and after their death the houses are given to another writers, however in 1998 in house of Bulat Okudzhava was opened the museum by his wife Olga Vladimirovna. After one year the museum became the State museum.

How to find

If you are going to go to Peredelkino from Moscow go to Kiyevsky railway station and by the Electric multiple unit go till station Michurinets. After that use signs what leads you to the museum of Bulat Okudzhava on th Dovzhenko street 11.
