Memorial cross in honor of St. Euphrosyne

Description
A memorial cross in honor of St. Euphrosyne was made in style of Novgorod cross with circle inside. The memorial cross is a sort of Templar cross and was made from black stone. In the center of the cross you can see a figure of St. Euphrosyne from white stone.
There is a memorial inscription on the cross, “This memorial cross was established with the blessing of Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus Kirill in 2012 in honor of the patroness of Moscow St. Euphrosyne – Grand princess Eudoxia Dmitriyevna of Moscow (1353-1407). By her decree in 1395 to Moscow was moved the icon of Theotokos of Vladimir, what saved the Moscow from the invasion of Tamerlane”.
Creation history
The memorial cross in honor of the patroness of Moscow St. Euphrosyne was established on the Rozhdestvensky Boulevard in 2012.
How to find
Go to metro station Trubnaya (Tubular) and exit to the Trubnaya square. Here on the crossroad next to the monument - Grateful Russia turn right on Rozhdestvensky Boulevard and go ahead till the building Rozhdestvensky Boulevard bld.12 where you will find the memorial cross of St. Euphrosyne.
